  • Earl Grey tea bags (2)

  • Hot water (enough to fill your mug)

  • Sugar (1 cup)

  • Water (1 cup)

  • Vanilla extract (1 tablespoon)

  • Oat milk (to taste)

  • Swap the homemade vanilla syrup for store-bought

  • Experiment with other tea types like rooibos for a different flavor

  • Use any milk you have on hand—almond, soy, or dairy all work well!

 

RECIPE

Steep two Earl Grey tea bags in hot water from the kettle. While the tea brews, make a quick vanilla syrup by combining sugar, water, and vanilla extract in a small pot or saucepan over low heat until dissolved. Add a couple of spoonfuls of the vanilla syrup to your tea, then top it off with steamed oat milk.
