CLASSIC CHICKEN CAESAR SALAD

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 package of Daring breaded chicken (or vegan chicken of choice, we also like Gardein).

  • 1 head of romaine lettuce

  • Vegan Caesar dressing (we like Follow your Heart)

  • Vegan parmesan cheese (we also like Follow your Heart parm)

  • 2 slices of sourdough bread

  • Lil bit of vegan butter

  • All purpose seasoning (any meat or veggie seasoning with salt, pepper, and garlic will work — don’t overthink it)

 

RECIPE - SERVES 2

  1. Cook crispy chicken according to directions. For Daring chicken, we recommend frying in a small layer of oil over medium-high heat. For all baked chickens, we recommend increasing the oven temp by 25 degrees and baking for 3-5 minutes longer than instructed (makes it extra crispy).

  2. Toast two slices of sourdough really well (like seriously brown the bread), lightly butter them and top with seasoning (like a lot of it). Then chop into itty bitty crouton-sized pieces.

  3. Wash and chop romaine and add to serving bowl, add a big ‘ol handful of vegan parm, add dressing to taste and mix it all up.

  4. Top with sourdough “croutons” and crispy chicken

  5. Eat — and maybe pair with a nice fresh white wine, your call, but sounds delicious if you ask us.
